NetZero E.S. is not a registered company — it's developed as an independent student/personal project. That's why you won't find fabricated customer testimonials here. Instead, we're transparent about two things: how you can concretely verify the platform's reliability, and use case scenarios grounded in its real features, clearly labeled as examples.
Transparent Methodology
EVERY formula and coefficient on the platform — cited to sources like IPCC, DEFRA, GHG Protocol, and ISO 14046 — is fully explained on our Bibliography page. No number is hidden.
Verifiable Reports
Every generated PDF report follows an ISO 14064-compliant structure and carries a unique QR code — its authenticity can be confirmed by scanning it on the Report Verification page.
Data Security
Your data is encrypted end-to-end. The platform is designed to be ISO 27001 and GDPR/KVKK compliant — see our Privacy Policy for details.
Active, Open Development
The platform is under continuous development: 7 calculation modules, 17+ bibliography tables, 17 blog guides, and a growing Help Center — all built by a single developer, grounded in real sources.
The scenarios below are illustrative examples prepared to make the platform's capabilities concrete — they are NOT real customer cases. The formulas and coefficients used are real (identical to the data on our Bibliography page); the company/person and figures in each scenario are fictional, created solely to demonstrate how the platform works.
Example Scenario — Illustrative
Situation: An SME within a large customer's supply chain receives its first request for emissions/water data and doesn't know where to start.
How the platform helps: The past 12 months of energy/water bills are entered in the calculator's Personal & Household and Scope 1 & 2 tabs; the platform automatically converts them to kg CO2e. The result becomes an ISO 14064-compliant PDF report.
Outcome: The company presents its customer with a sourced, QR-verifiable first ESG report. See our ESG Reporting guide for detailed steps.
Example Scenario — Illustrative
Situation: A company exporting aluminum foil can't budget properly without knowing what CBAM will cost it in 2026.
How the platform helps: The product type and export quantity are entered in the CBAM tab; the platform automatically calculates embedded emissions and the estimated certificate cost using the current EU ETS reference price (€72.5/ton) and the 2026 phase-out rate (10%).
Outcome: The company downloads a draft declaration template for internal preparation ahead of an official submission. See our Aluminum CBAM guide for details.
Example Scenario — Illustrative
Situation: A university researcher wants to calculate land-use change emissions using the Tier 2 methodology for use in an academic paper.
How the platform helps: A free Academic account is created with an institutional email; the calculation is run in the Research Toolkit tab using the SOC (soil organic carbon) formula parameters, and a citation is generated via the TÜBİTAK/EU -style academic report template.
Outcome: The researcher correctly cites the exact source of the methodology used (IPCC 2006 Guidelines Volume 4) in their paper.
Example Scenario — Illustrative
Situation: An Enterprise customer with production facilities in three different cities wants to know which facility has the highest emissions per unit of area.
How the platform helps: Each facility's data is entered separately in the Multi-Facility Management module; the platform automatically benchmarks facilities on a kg CO2e/year per m² basis and flags the highest-priority area for improvement.
Outcome: Management makes a data-driven decision on which facility to prioritize for investment.
